Unknown to me Bob Isaacson knew who had outbid me on the Frank Marshall figure on eBay. Bob also could see beyond the poor paint and messed up mechanics that this figure was a close resemblance to Danny O’Day.
Bob like me knew he had to have this figure. He just had to have it. His ulterior motive will present itself soon.

I myself have collected ventriloquist figures and have tried to make the collection that of antique figures rather than new figures that are created today. That does not mean I have no newer figures in the Ventriloquist Central Collection, there are quite a few newer figures. But I did try to keep the collection, for the most part, old and figures carved from wood.
Back in the first part of July, when I posted a blog of this video of this Brant Gilmer “McElroy style” ventriloquist figure, I had some emails asking to see the mechanics (click here to see the blog ) .
My good friend Dirk Golden takes a lot of videos at the Vent Haven ConVENTions and this year was no different.
