Brant Gilmer’s “Knucklehead Smiff”

Quite a while ago I did a deal in which I acquired this fabulous rendition of the famous Knucklehead Smiff carved in basswood by Brant Gilmer.

Brant’s work is of the highest caliber and this creation is no exception. He is 42″ tall and is all carved from wood. This includes the body and hands. Today Brant uses cast hands instead of carving.

Knucklehead has slot jaw and side to side self centering eyes. Although the original Knucklehead did not have moving eyes the fact that this Knuck can move them to me is a plus. You can get a lot more life from him with the movement of the eyes.

At the ConVENTion last year Brant commented that today for him to carve one would cost over $2,000 and wait time now is 3 years.

I have not quite decided if I am going to keep this figure or not so if you are inclined to buy him, send me an email and lets talk.

Hope you enjoy seeing this great work from Brandt Gilmer.
