I believe the Mystery Vent pictured is “Skipper” Frank Herman.

  2. Jeff Yates says:

    “Skipper Frank” Herman and Ziggy.
Ziggy, is custom Rene figure made for Frank in the late 50’s as a replacement for his stolen partner, “Julius.” Ziggy is a large wood dough figure with a real rabbit fur wig.
Frank sold Ziggy in the early 70’s to help pay medical bills. Location of figure unknown.

OH MY GOD!…OH MY GOD!…Yes,I said that twice.I I have been looking for a pic of Ziggy for I don’t know how many years!
As a child I would watch Skipper Frank on KTLA channel 5 here in L.A. and I was always intrigued with Ziggy.Mainly.it was the large eyes and they mechanism that animated them. When the eyes would move from side to side,a ‘clicking’ sound could be heard and for reasons I still don’t understand,it fascinated me.I have no words to describe how I feel at this moment knowing I finally can see that wonderful figure again.Yhank you Dan from the bottom of my heart for sharing this pic.If any more are available for viewing,I would love to see them!
    This is SO appreciated,
    Ron Crowe
