Here’s a video of Austin Phillips presenting me with a ventriloquist figure he built.

Last week I showed you some great looking ventriloquist figures that were used by ventriloquist Bill Podgorny (click if you missed that blog).
Along with the figures, was the “story” about the figures and how Bill became a ventriloquist. I really enjoyed this story and thought I would share it with everyone.
Last week I did a blog about Austin Phillips’ visit to see the Ventriloquist Central Collection (click here if you missed that blog).
Here’s a video of Austin showing his Insull figure he restored.

A while ago I was contacted by the heirs of Bill Podgorny who started ventriloquism while a young man and had figures built for him in 1939. These figures remained in his possession until he did his last performance in 2007.
His wish was that they be sold and the family contacted me. We dickered back and forth, they then considered going to auction with them but after talking with the auctioneer decided to come back to me.
