Dear Dan,
I wanted to share with you this colorful lithograph promoting a ventriloquist named, William Petty Fortson in 1910. It’s kind of creepy-cool. I found it yesterday and purchased it from a store owner who bought it last week from Mr. Fortson’s grand daughter who lives nearby.

I am asked all the time about what I use for the seating of the figures in the Ventriloquist Central Collection.
My answer is EVERYTHING.
I use the little plastic chairs for children, I have used cardboard boxes covered and not, I have used blocks with boards going across them to create bench seating. It really makes no difference as long as you do it so that you are showing off the figure and not the seat.
