Our friend Doug Preis sent me this and I have to admit I was enthralled with how these two guys were able to really bring life to this puppet.
Even though we are a ventriloquist site, puppetry is a brother/sister art form and so I thought everyone would really enjoy seeing this great use of a puppet.
We’ve posted numerous blogs about the wonderful talent of ventriloquist figure maker Pastor Scott Bryte and his handcarved creation “Corky”.
As you should know by now, “Corky” is now part of the Ventriloquist Central Collection. Since that happened, I’ve been swamped with emails wanting to see a video of “Corky”, so here it is.
Paul Winchell and Jerry Mahoney
I have been sitting and thinking about the functions that Jerry Mahoney had as a figure. In his original form he had mouth movement and side to side eyes. Paul used him like that for quite a number of years but once he had his television show Jerry then had blinkers added.
