Our good friend Austin Phillips has decided to allow Ventriloquist Central to show off his wonderful Cartoons. I am pleased to showcase his first in the series.
Len Insull was the premier ventriloquist builder in the UK for 4 decades and his cheeky boy figure was used by all the top performers. Madeleine Maher and WS Berger bought these figures and imported them for sale here in the US but they are not found easily here in the US. Today I am happy to offer you one of Insull’s fully loaded figure for sale.

I am pleased to offer you a rare figure today. This is an original Madeleine Maher figure from the 1950’s and I believe it to be in her catalogue as the “Buster” figure.
I am pleased to show to you today an unusual Frank Marshall figure which dates from around 1935. This figure is a large figure standing 42″ tall and I do believe this head came from the duplicarver head used by Marshall to create his copies of the Great Lester’s Frank Byron Jr.. These heads were the largest size that Marshall made as far as I know.
As a follow up to the blog I did the other day about ring pull or lever, I had not yet removed the rings so that I could show the controls to you.
However, I now have done so so here are pictures of this Frank Marshall head stick devoid of levers but it has multiple cords for the controls.
