It is fun to go and read back catalogues of the old ventriloquist figure builders. I find that all of them were proud to offer all kinds of parts separately for sale.
You could buy the head, body hands feet etc, etc, on their own. Prices did in fact reflect the separate purchase of those items and you did pay more them individually as compared to purchasing a complete figure.
This is a rare chance to own an absolutely one of a kind custom character by Craig Lovik. This was done for a custom order back in the early 1980’s. He is like no other.
Figure stands 40 inches tall and has a custom wooden body built like the proverbial Brick ^&*thouse. The head is full loaded with the following functions: slot jaw, side to side self centering eyes, raising eyebrows, winkers/blinkers.

I never would have believed how important computers have become but in the past month I had my expensive HP laptop die. I took it in and was told it was too far gone and would be more expensive to repair than what it was worth.
I was lucky though because I still had my original laptop as a back up. I immediately logged it on but the curse of the computer gods was watching and the hard drive went on it too. Can you believe 2 lap tops dead in two weeks.
I have always said that magic and ventriloquism are related arts because of the illusion factor. So it is no surprise that magicians will have ventriloquist figures. This figure I am showing today is one such case.
I was contacted by the grand daughter of Frank Radtke “Fakini”, famous for his Fakini Multiplying Billiard Balls, because she had her grandfather’s ventriloquist figure which he had given to her to help her pay for schooling. Although she had the figure she didn’t sell it right away but had put it away. She came across it again and decided it was time. She contacted me and now I am happy to report this wonderful figure is now part of the Ventriloquist Central Collection.
