We haven’t done a mystery ventriloquist in some time and when I saw this nice looking Frank Marshall figure, thought this ventriloquist would be a perfect choice.

Can you guess this mystery ventriloquist?

I’m guessing that is Bill Holliday. I have an unfair advantage though because everything I’ve learned about vent history I’ve learned from Bob Isaacson. :o)

Great looking Marshall figure. Wish I knew who owns it now.

    • What a wonderful website! You have found us – my name is Lamont Holliday the son of “Bill Holliday” & I am the owner of my Dad’s figure. Bill’s figure is name “JoJo”. You might say that I grow up with JoJo as a young boy when my Dad Bill Holliday was in Show Business. Bill was a man of many talents: Ventrilouist, Master of Ceremonies, Trumpet Player, Created Animal Firgures out of Balloons, and in his later years he was an Interior Decorator. JoJo resides at my Mom’s house and has been with the family for about 66 years. The above picture was taken around 1945-50 or so. Wow!

Greg who is Bob Isaacson? Please tell me more and how you knew of my father.

It’s “Bill Holliday, America’s finest colored ventriloquist”. I don’t know the name of the figure though.
