Hello everyone, Steve here….I’m sure you’ve heard by now and if you haven’t, the Dean of Ventriloquism, Jimmy Nelson, passed away last night.  He was one of the nicest people you could have met and at the ConVENTion was always willing to meet and talk with anyone.

Personally, the first time I met Jimmy was in 1997 at the Ventriloquist Convention in Las Vegas where Ray Guyll introduced me to him.  At the time I was in “awe” because like most ventriloquists that grew up in the 60’s, I remember him from the Nestle Quik commercials and listened to his teachings of ventriloquism from his albums.

I know I speak for my partner Dan when I say, our deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to the Nelson family.

Rest in Peace, Jimmy.
