Clothing On Effanbee Charlie McCarthy Figures

DSCN2509[1]

When I first started to collect the Effanbee Charlie dolls I really didn’t care what the outfit was but quickly I found that the 15″ tall model have quite a variety of outfits.

Today I am happy to show you five of these small size Charlies in five different outfits. I am still hunting for the detective out fit but I am sure eventually I will find that one too.

I am not sure how many outfits in all were produced.

    Hi Dan,

I don’t believe the outfit in the Charlie o the far right (colorful jacket) is an authentic costume. I think this is the Sportsman (or Sporting?) Charlie, with an added shirt and jacket. In years of searching, I have only ever seen the classic black tux Charlie, white dinner jacket Charlie, sportsman Charlie and Casual Charlie (in the beige trench and brown suit). I know a set was produced with a trunk and pajamas, but I have never seen a detective outfit or the one in your picture.

    Best,

    ~Chris
