Always…..great advice from Bob Abdou ! sometimes, folks forget “the simple things”. thanks to Bob for another terrific lesson.
I agree with this segment solo much. I keep each puppet soft or hard in it’s own trunk. I also label the trunk so I know which puppet is in which trunk. I used to put various puppet together in multiple trunks, but when I needed to perform I would spend to much time searching through different trunks to find the right puppet. Now I just grab the trunk labeled with the particular puppets I need for the show.
me too Roy, good for us
I love Bob’s tips. This was one of the “simple things,” but sometimes it’s the simple things that get by us. I’ve got, for instance, one of my soft puppets I used years ago in a TV show in a garbage bag because I don’t use him much these days. I will go to the basement and change him out to a pillowcase. I’ll need a large pillowcase…but it’ll be better than the garbage bag if I’m hit by a trolley and my kids start cleaning out the basement!
Hey Philip, garbage bag = bad, pillow case = good
