Ventriloquist Arthur Worsley and Charlie Brown

Seeing that I enjoy the art of ventriloquism, I love to watch videos of performing ventriloquists.

I have to say that this particular video ranks pretty high in my book. We all know about ventriloquist Arthur Worsley and this famous routine. He never says anything, but lets Charlie Brown do all the talking.

I thought I would share this video with you today. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

    Dan & Steve,

Thanks SO much for posting this! All I’d ever seen of this vent was the short clip on the “best of sullivan” dvd. It was so nice to see more, & I see youtube has even MORE clips! Thanks again.

Good example of banter and patter, which is nonsense with a beat or rhythm, and of bits of business which is clever acts of clowning around as by dummy talking with mouth shut and insisting on being turned around to show hand on post through slit and witty remarks about it and who’s the dummy. Clifford Guest was so good at this as by silly talk leading up to bits of business of dummy sneezing on the vent, the runaway dummy, and closing suitcase on screaming dummy’s legs. All jokes aside, no jokes needed other by banter, patter, bits of business.
