Ven-Trilo-Ett Do IT Yourself

DSCN1651[1]

One of the great novelty items that Clinton Detweiler created was the Ventriloett. Clinton sold those in the early 1970’s the remade them in the late 2010’s. When he first put them out in the early 70’s he sold do it yourself construction plans if you didn’t want to spend the money to buy a complete one.

Today I am happy to show you one of his original set of plans for the Ventriloett. It is complete with all instructions and is in very good condition.

I have a copy in the Ventriloquist Central Collection but if you would like one this copy is available. (Click here for more information)

Dan, I made one of these in the 70’s. Besides the plans by themselves, & the finished ones he made & sold, he also, for a time, had a kit available, & that’s what i made mine from. Bought it from the vent i took my 10 week vent class from at a community college, who got them through clinton for his students. It had just the styrafoam & other “head” parts, not the felt, pom pom, yarn, etc. I’d LOVE to buid another one! Thanks for offering this. I’d asked clinton about them but he didn’t have a set of plans himself to make copies available from. Thanks again :)
