To Be or Not To Be a Be Ventriloquist – By Bob Abdou

Once again, Bob has sent us the gem:

Hey Dan and Steve

Happy New Year,
Well here is another one for you.

As the consultant for ventriloquism for the Puppeteers of America and a member of the hospitality committee for the VentHaven, I thought it was important to the puppet community to know more about the thinking of the common ventriloquist.

This is the reason for the article “To Be or Not to Be a Ventriloquist” by Bob Abdou/Mr.Puppet – Fall issue of P of A journal.

To join Puppeteers of America

The newest issue will be posted soon featuring my article on the website.

Bob Abdou
Mr. Puppet

Thanks, Bob for sending this in and sharing with everyone.

And don’t forget, Bob will be performing at the Ventriloquist Central Birthday Bash in October.

This piece is very, very good, Bob Abdou.

Nice article, Bob. I took a hand puppetry class at the University of CT when I was in my graduate program there, so as a vent I’ve always felt a certain kinship with the puppetry community. Great folks. Incidentally, I never heard that Bergen anecdote. Very interesting!

Nice article, Bob. I’m glad you got the link to Ventriloquist Central so those of us who are not (or no longer) members of Puppeteers of America can have the opportunity to read it. Thanks.
