Seattle Mariners’ Felix Hernandez with a Jerry Mahoney Ventriloquist Figure

Baseball season is almost here. My partner Steve and I are avid baseball fans (as well as many other ventriloquists).

Me being in Boston, I’m a Boston Red Sox fan while Steve having lived in Washington State for many years is a Seattle Mariners fan. Since both of our teams are in the American League, we are always going back and forth with jabs during the season.

Steve has always talked about the Seattle Mariners commercials they do every year (Steve has the MLB package so he can watch the Mariners in Oklahoma).

He sent one of the latest to me and we both thought we had to share it with everyone. It shows “King” Felix Hernandez doing his “ventriloquism” with a Jerry Mahoney replica ventriloquist figure.

It just goes to show that ventriloquism is in the limelight these days and that’s great for the art.

  1. That is fantastic! Down here in Florida, I wouldn’t have seen that commercial. Thanks for posting it, guys. I’m also a huge baseball fan. Being from New England, I’ve been a die-hard Red Sox fan since 1975! When I lived in Brookline, the lights from Fenway during night games actually came through my window. Beautiful.

Hey guys how about some credit for Barbara bringing this to your attention!!

  3. Steve Hurst says:

Ray you’re absolutely right…..it was Barbara who first brought it to my attention. Thanks Barbara!!!
