I want to let everyone know that Ventriloquist Central is HERE TO STAY!!!

Just because I am selling off some of the Ventriloquist Central Collection it in no way means that the web site is gone. It is quite the opposite. I am still collecting figures and still have a core collection which is here with me now in CA.

The web site is most important to both me and Steve Hurst my partner and web master. We have worked long and hard to make it the best web site on the internet for anyone wanting comprehensive information about ventriloquism and that is not going to change.

Since the announcement that the Ventriloquist Central Collection is going up for auction I have had quite a number of folks contact me and ask why I didn’t list the collection for sale on the Ventriloquist Central Marketplace.

The answer is one that believe me took much thought. Making the move from MA. to Ca. meant that I had to pack each and every figure from the collection and then ship them across the country.

That cost, in both time and packing and shipping, would have been monumental. Also the amount of work that would have been placed on my webmaster Steve Hurst’s shoulders would have made him into Atlas holding up the world.

It just would not have been fair. We even thought of hiring the job out but if you don’t know the figures it would have been nuts.

This Len Insull figure is one of the rarest that Len created. Until I got this one I had only seen this in the picture on page 28 of Valentine Vox’s book ” I Can See Your Lips Moving”. He is the one on the left of the page as you look at same.

This figure is also unusual because it is made in a larger size standing 4 foot tall. His body and hands are also original and will come dressed as you see him pictured.

Up until today I have not sold a Frank Marshall figure but today I am changing all that.

Offered to you today is this great all original Frank Marshall figure. The only thing not original is the clothing. He is full size body standing 39″ tall with original wooden lower legs, original carved hands and of course head.

His paint is absolutely all original. I surmise the wig may have been replaced decades ago but it is very old.

The time has come for me to now fess up to what has been going on behind the scenes here in Calistoga. When I sold my home in MA and decided to move I had every intention of bringing the entire collection with me.

Unfortunately I was just not able to find a home large enough to accommodate the entire collection as well as furnishing from both me and Linda.

I gave it a lot of thought and went back and for with my webmaster Steve and my son Jason and the ultimate conclusion was that I kept a core of figures that I loved but the bulk of the Ventriloquist Central Collection will be sold at auction.
