I was reading an issue of the Oracle Magazine from July-August 1960 and came upon this poem written by Charles S. Berger and I thought I would share it with you all.
The Dummy
My face is roughed and full of life
I have no aches, no pains
I’m free from all this earthly strife
That follows the struggle for gains
I had a few people email me directly asking my thoughts on Jeff Dunham’s show so rather than answering individual emails or responding to the vent lists I decided to do up a blog entry of my own.
First thing I must say is that Jeff is the consummate professional performer and in my eyes presents himself as such right down to his stage settings. I loved his use of the big screens showing the pertinent pictures to what ever he was talking about at the time.
I just can’t believe that in a few days we will be getting together to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Ventriloquist Central. Even the year in which we put the Birthday Bash together has flown right by.

Texting
This weeks question actually comes from me, Bob Abdou. With technology changing rapidly, I wanted to pose a question to other entertainers who I respect and admire. Here are their edited responses to my question:
Parents and teachers have been texting right in front of me, full view, they are not hiding the fact that they are texting and I find it rude and disturbing.
I need your advise, should I have my introduction say something to the effect of no texting, should I say it at the beginning of my show, should I say nothing, should I just ignore it grab the check and get the heck out???
