What Wig Color Do You Like?

We have discussed wigs a number of times in the past but have never touched on the color of same. Today as I was cleaning and primping some of the figures in the Ventriloquist Central Collection I really stopped and looked at the wig colors.

Almost every color wig is represented in the collection. There is black, brown, red, blond and grey. The colors for wigs all seem to fit the characters but I do have a favorite and that is red.

Maher Ventriloquist Body

I did a blog about what body I thought was best and I said Maher because of how they sit. I was asked if I could show the bottom board so you could see how it was made.

Here are a couple pictures for you. I did not remove the cloth legs but you can see how the cuts on the bottom board, for the legs, protrude forward and that is what the legs attach to. This make the figure sit perfect and will not fall forward.

Ventriloquist Web Sites

We have talked many times about the Ventriloquist Central Collection because when we first started Ventriloquist Central I wanted to promote the collection but with the help of my partner/webmaster Steve Hurst Ventriloquist Central has become the largest web site on the Internet solely devoted to all aspects of ventriloquism both old and new.

Another thing happened as we have grown over the past five years and that is that Steve has become webmaster for quite a number of people in the ventriloquial world (as I write this I know he’s working on three other ventriloquists’ sites right now…..plus if you saw yesterday’s blog about Mike Palma’s new site, Ventriloquist Workshop, Steve did that one too).
