Frank Marshall carved some wonderful figures for performer Johnny Main from Niagara Falls New York. This was Marshall’s first creation for Johnny. His name is Archie. He is a superior figure in the Nosey style and was loaded up by Frank with the following functions. Slot jaw, side to side self centering eyes, crossing eyes, winkers/blinkers and upper lip smile.

I was so pleased when I received an email from Tony Davis letting me know he was going to be in the Boston area. He came in from Oregon with his wife Debra and another couple Jim and Sylvia Lavoie. They decided to take a leaf peeping trip and once off the plane the first stop was to see the collection.

A couple of weeks ago I told you about a DVD that my partner Steve and I put together we called a “Tribute to Frank Marshall.” The response has been overwhelming and we thank all those who ordered.
We have gotten quite a few emails asking more about the interview that Steve did with me. Most have asked about the information contained in the interview.

As most of you who read my blog know Geoff Felix, who makes great Insull style figures, does not sell to us here in the United States. I have never got the story so I don’t know why that is.
That being said I was contacted by Daniel Byrne from England and he informed me that if you really want a Felix figure you can in fact purchase one through Davenports Magic Shop as they are in fact selling his figures.
Here’s a video of a very rare wood carved Brian Hamilton ventriloquist figure. He has slot jaw, side to side self centering eyes, raising eyebrows, winkers/blinkers and a hand shaker. He stands just shy of 40″ tall and everything on him is original. His paint and wig.
