It is with great distress that I am offering this Knucklehead Smiff for sale.
This is an early 1960’s Knuck in near mint condition and yes his mouth works perfectly when you pull the string.

Here’s a quick clip involving John W. Cooper’s ventriloquist dummy. This is from the PBS History Detectives.
A couple of weeks ago we told you about our good friend and regular contributor ventriloquist/puppeteer, Bob Abdou aka Mr. Puppet will from time to time send us these videos he calls “Tidbit in a Minute.” (If you missed that video, click here)
Here is Lesson 2.
Everyone today who is into ventriloquism should know who Dan Payes is because he has been selling Ventriloquist Figures for around 15 years. He is one of those that I certainly would call a prolific builder. Hundreds of his figures are now out there in the hands of performers and collectors.
In his building of figures he has created a Siamese Twins figure and to date he has made only four of them. They are spread around the world and today I am happy to show all of you the one that has become a part of the Ventriloquist Central collection.
Here is a video of the Dan Payes Siamese Twins.
I always say and it is true, I only will sell a figure when another has come along to the Ventriloquist Central Collection and so it has happened so I am going to let another obtain this wonderful Pinxy Figure.
This Pinxy is a full size standing 40″ tall and is in fantastic condition. The oil paints were restored by Bob Isaacson who really knows his way around the painting on ventriloquist figures. The movement is mouth only, and that is all you need. The blue eyes are wonderful glass eyes and the ball and socket neck make for great head movement. The lever is in the Marshall style. The hands are also original Pinxy hands.
