One of the great builders of wood carved ventriloquist figures was Chuck Jackson. He took over Maher Studios from Lovik and sold figures on his own and also in partnership with Bill Nelson. You can see a great video of Chuck working his craft with this link http://www.ventriloquistcentral.com/vc_video/chuck-jackson.htm
This figure is a fully loaded figure done in basswood and is one of his best creations. This Trixie figure is a full 40 inches tall and has the following functions; slot jaw, crossing eyes, side to side self centering eyes, winkers and blinkers and raising eyebrows. The paint is all original and is in near mint condition except for a very few hairline cracks due to age. The body is cast neoprene with wooden bottom board and the figure sits quite nicely on its own. The hands are also the cast small McElroy hands which Maher offered at the time.
Here at Ventriloquist Central, we want to wish everyone a wonderful Holiday Season. So from Steve, his family and me and my family…Merry Christmas.
I also thought we would show a holiday video. Enjoy.

Our good friend from the Philippines, Ony Carcamo, sent in this nice story about his Frank Marshall Figure!
My Marshall Story
by Ony Carcamo
Since doing ventriloquism two decades ago, I’ve always dreamed of owning and using a Frank Marshall figure. Just like many vents of this and the past generations, I love the look of a Marshall. It is beautiful, classic, and truly represents the look of a vent figure as we know it.
