Here’s a video of a cute miniature sailor ventriloquist figure. Unfortunately I can not give information as to his maker because there is nothing marked anywhere on him but I can tell you this he is not a toy and who ever created this fellow did some fine work.
The head, hands and feet are of either wood dough (plastic wood) or composition. They are extremely heavy and remind me of how Finis Robinson used plastic wood but the quality is far superior to his work.
Original, Original, Original, is what I always yell when it comes to Frank Marshall figures and today I am happy to show this wonderful figure which I call my Irish Boy because of his bright red hair and the piercing blue eyes.

It is with great sadness that I am writing this blog. One of the pioneers in the ventriloquist world for over 5 decades has passed on and gone to be with his maker, Clinton Detweiler.
I find this very sad indeed as he was a prince of a man and was a cornerstone of our ventriloquist community.
Steve and I send all our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Adelia and Clinton’s family in this most grievous of times. May the Lord walk with all of you.
