Spring IS Close…Motorcycle Riding Soon

With spring just around the corner I made the trip to the Northeast Motorcycle Expo which was being held at the Shriner’s in Wilmington, MA. like to go and see some of the new rides being unveiled and on this trip I really wanted to see the new Indian now being built by Polaris.

Much to my dismay the Indian representative informed me the new Indians will not be unveiled until Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August. I was bummed. But I did take a couple shots of a very nice 2011 Indian chief and some other very nice motorcycles.

Ventriloquist Central Collection Video Series – Cartoony Style Pinxy Figure

Here’s a video of a very nice Pinxy. This Pinxy fellow is just about as cartoony a style as you will find. Everyone loves this guy.

He is all original including his paint and his leather gloved hands. Unfortunately the leather is disintegrating but still displayable. There was a wig of some sort at one time but I just couldn’t find the right type for him so I left him bald and he looks better that way.

Basswood Ventriloquist Project

Here you are if you want a very unique looking ventriloquist figure to complete. This guy is all basswood carved and has side moving self centering eyes, individual raising eyebrows and slot jaw. He comes with a wood body that is complete with the head lock installed. Body has shaped shoulder boards and fits the ball of the head perfectly.

You add the arms and legs and you will have a complete figure but if you are handy you could over sculpt the head to give him much ore detail.

This is a full size head and body and will make a 40″ tall figure.

Greg contacted us the other day to say that he has decided to make “McElroy Magic” a LIMITED EDITION publication. He said he sent out number 172 a few days ago and will only publish 200.

That means he only has 28 left and if you don’t have your copy, then you need to hurry.

Now even though this informational guide is mainly about how to build the mechanics for a McElroy style ventriloquist figure, it’s really much more than that. In fact, even if you’re NOT a builder, you would still enjoy it.
