The Ventriloquist Central Birthday Bash is fast approaching. We thought we’d do a blog to answer a few questions we’ve been receiving and to see a schedule of the day’s events.
Ventriloquist Central Birthday Bash Schedule of Events
We’ve had a few ask if there will be an “Open Mic” so YES, we are going to have one. If you would like to participate in the open mic, send us an email and we’ll put you on the list.
This is a one of a kind rather loaded ventriloquist figure made by Las Vegas performer Lou Dupont. I purchased a lot of ventriloquist heads and this figure was among the lot. I was surprised because the other heads were done by casting in fiberglass but this fellow is a combination or wood and plastic wood.
I have been engaged in emails about having your figures cased if you are not using them. This is very tough for everyone to answer. If you only have one or two figures and they are your tools then more than likely you are going to keep them in a case with the heads covered and the hands gloved and you take them out when you perform. This I understand and go along with one hundred percent.
If you have multiple figures and you like looking at them then I don’t think that they have to be cased. Sit them on a chair or on the couch and let them be a part of the family. They don’t eat, complain, ask to change the station and in some cases you pick one up and it talks and says everything you can’t.
After having the heads listed for sale on the Ventriloquist Marketplace for sale I was first contacted by Ray Guyll who told me that in his opinion the heads were made by Lou Dupont, a ventriloquist that lived and performed in Las Vegas.
I was then also contacted by Marcelo Melison, who sent a picture (above) and also said he believed that the heads were by Lou Dupont and they look like they could be back up heads for his two main characters.
