  1. I received a phone call yesterday morning from Magician-Ventriloquist Gemini. I was both shocked and numb to hear of the passing of my longtime friend and fellow ventriloquist Otto Petersen of Otto & George fame. I have so many memories of fun times back in the days of Pips Comedy Club and the many stories we shared. This has yet to fully sink in with the comedy community and his many friends. Rest in peace my old pal.

This is a very sad loss. Otto & George were definitely not for everyone, but he was one of my favorite ventriloquists (and comedy acts in general). Otto was masterful at creating a believable separate character; something I think is harder than lip control. (and probably more important.)

Look them up on Youtube, but be warned, the jokes can be VERY dirty. At the very least, look at their Letterman appearance–that’s a clean one. (maybe THE clean one?)

  3. Jerome Goodspeed says:

NO VENT HAS EVER MADE ME LAUGH AS MUCH AS OTTO & GEORGE.
