Old Man Len Insull Ventriloquist Figure

insull old man 002

One of the rarities from the shop of ventriloquist figure builder Len Insull is his old man figure. I have had many of Insull’s cheeky boy figures but the old man has always eluded me until now. So I am pleased to share him with you.

He stands 44″ tall and has his original body, hands and feet and his head is fully loaded with the following movements. Self centering eyes, individual winking eyes, blinking eyes, raising eyebrows, wiggling ears upper lip and lower lip.

The original grey crepe hair is in terrific condition as well as his original paint which is showing its age. His head is drop through and is supported by the ventriloquist. No head lock with Insull figures. He is pre Davenport so is from the 1950’s.

I received him undressed so the clothing you see on him now I dressed him in and they look appropriate.

I hope you enjoy seeing this rare Insull.

Straight on he looks eerily “real.” I’m impressed that both the leather and the crepe hair are in darn good shape for the old fella’s age!

Second that… He looks amazingly real…
