This year we decided that I alone would go to the Vent Haven ConVENTion and Helen would stay home. She knows that the ventriloquism is my thing and thought that it would be better for me to not have her there. I am not sure that was such a good idea and here is the reasoning for that.
About two weeks prior to the ConVENTion Helen started letting me know that she had been contacting different auctioneers in the area and also had contacted Sotheby’s auction house so that as soon as I had left for the ConVENTion she could have them come in and remove for sale all the goodies.
She kept telling me that anything they did not remove for auction was going out on the front lawn for the GIGANTIC yard sale. She kept this up right until I was dropped off at Logan Airport to leave for Cincinnati. I knew she had had a good time sticking me with this notion of her selling off the Ventriloquist Central Collection.
Well on Friday of the ConVENTion I received an email with an attachment and the following pictures were included.
All I can say is that Helen has one of the greatest senses of humor and for all the grief she gives me (not really all that much) it is doubled by the pleasure she also gives. I am blessed to have such a great partner!!
