After sending you the article from 1954 “Why don’t you try” about ventriloquism from the Puppetry Journal,
I found a “rebuttal” story in an issue months later in the July/August 1954 Puppetry Journal issue. The viewpoint was written not by Finis but from Mrs. Finis Robinson, Annamay.
The Robinson Family took ventriloquism very seriously,

Any vent who knew Finis and corresponded with him knew he took the art of ventriloquism to heart, I am glad I knew Finis and Annamay personally before they both passed away and I still cherish his long winded letters.
