Doris Faye’s Frank Marshall figure Tyrone

DSCN3090[1]

Doris Faye used a Frank Marshall Nosey figure which she named Tyrone. He is a full size figure standing 40 inches tall and has just mouth movement. He has fabulous glass eyes and still retains his original crepe hair.

This crepe hair is possibly the finest job I have seen on a figure. It was protected all the years by his hat. His paint is also all original and just how I like the figures to be.

He is a bit of a quandary as far as time of production. I do believe he was made in the very early 1940’s but he does have the wedge cut under the chin which was not typical for the earlier version of Frank Marshall figures. They typically had the leather under the chin.

I am super pleased to have him as part of the Ventriloquist Central Collection.

One Response to Doris Faye’s Frank Marshall figure Tyrone

One of the nicest, original, Nosey figures I’ve seen in quite awhile. Also, as you say Dan….with the original crepe hair. Amazing, Doris really took good care of “Tyrone”.
