This in from Mark Wade:
DEADLINE CLOSING IN TO BE IN SENIOR / JUNIOR OPEN MICS FOR VHC 2016
In 5 short days will be the email signup for the Senior and Junior open mics for this year’s Vent Haven ConVENTion 2016. On the morning of MARCH 9 at 10 AM Eastern Standard Time (USA) if you would like to be in either of the open mics you must send me an email stating which on you would like to be in. (Juniors up to age 16 / Senior 17 years and above)
DO NOT SEND EMAILS BEFORE 10 AM EST (USA). Those coming in before that time will be disqualified. The first 8 who email in (plus we will have 4 alternates in the event someone drops out..) will make the list to have their act critiqued live onstage by three professional ventriloquists, and this also puts each act eligible to win the “People’s Choice Award” for each division.
The “People’s Choice Award” is given to the TWO top acts in each division chosen by the attendees.
In the event you don’t make the cut, don’t despair. We will have TWO General Open Mic sessions that can be signed up for when you arrive.
TO BE ELIGIBLE TO BE IN EITHER JUNIOR OR SENIOR OPEN MICS YOU MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE ConVENTion.
Good luck to all!!
