Corky by Scott Bryte Arrives to the Ventriloquist Central Collection

Back a while ago we did a series of blogs devoted to the creation of a wood carved ventriloquist figure being built by Pastor Scott Bryte for Keith Suranna. This was a great way to see how Scott takes an idea from a sketch on paper and can transform it into a fully functional custom wood carved ventriloquist figure. He is one of only a few today that is doing all carved wood figures.

For reasons I have no idea about it seems Keith could no longer keep this prize carved figure and it has now become a member of the Ventriloquist Central Collection and I am happy to now show him to you. He has side to side moving eyes and slot jaw. He is totally carved including his head, hands, body and he does have wooden feet too.

When he arrived here he had on a pair of jeans and blue converse sneakers. No shirt. I just loved his look and he reminds me of a 1950’s style kid from say the Bazooka Joe cartoons. I had this wonderful 1950’s brown and red corduroy suit and a red turtle neck shirt and they fit him like they were made for him. So he is now dressed and seated amongst the others in the collection. A simply wonderful creation by Scott Bryte.
