For those of us in the United States, we celebrate Memorial Day weekend. Monday will be Memorial Day. It was formerly known as Decoration Day and it’s a day we pay our respects to the U.S. men and women who died while in the military service.
Back in January we posted a blog with a video of ventriloquist Dennis Spicer and an interesting looking figure (click here to see the blog). I asked for information about the figure and Dennis’ sister Rose sent us the following information:
Here’s a video showing “Joe Doaks” a nice Frank Marshall ventriloquist figure.
He was purchased from Frank Marshall in 1938 by Dwight Hamborsky Sr. He is a great example of how you want to find a Marshall figure.
