Yesterday we posted the first video of Bob Isaacson and his partner Speedy doing the educational series on Natural Gas.
Today we are sharing the second video.
We posted these videos seven years and since they’re buried in the archives, I thought it would be great to show them again. George Boosey sent these to me years ago when we first posted it.
What you are about to see is a 31 year young Bob Isaacson with his pal Speedy in an educational series on Natural Gas. These were filmed back in 1966 and you get to see how great Bob is as a ventriloquist and you also see his wonderful Frank Marshall figure Speedy Wheeler.
I know you are going to enjoy this so sit back for a few minutes and watch.
With the popularity of Edgar Bergen and his characters Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd back in the 1930s to 1960s. I think I can safely say that vent figure builders of the day saw the potential for sales if they produced figures that resembled Mortimer Snerd.
We saw this video on Facebook and had to share it with everyone. We contacted Kevin and he said we had his permission to do just that.
In this video Kevin shows you how to make a puppet (or dummy) head using the MendAll Wood filler. His first part of the process is very similar to the way the McElroy’s made their heads.

The following email and photos came to us by way of Colin from “down under”:
Hi Dan,
I thought you might enjoy these photos. They were taken on Sunday August 31st at Ron and Merle’s 70th Wedding Anniversary. The photos capture Ron and Merle with the two Marshalls (Sandra Simpkins and Gerry Gee lookalike) and Ron, Merle and myself with my Insull, “Jimmy”.
