Bernie Kallman & the Marshall/McElroy Ventriloquist Figure

I was lucky enough to run across this old article about Bernie Kallman. He’s the gentleman that I purchased the Marshall/McElroy ventriloquist figure that is now in my collection. It’s the same figure that was once owned by Bob Neller.

A Request From Bob Isaacson

With the passing of Bob’s wife Mary, he asked that I let everyone who reads my blog the following information:

Dan…If anyone wishes to send a memorial in Mary’s name, in lieu of flowers we’re asking memorials in her name to go to the American Lung Assoc. or to our church, Christ Lutheran Church, 607 Harvard St. Oak Park, Il. 60304. I appreciate your thoughts & prayers. Bob

Rare Brian Hamilton Catalogue and Price List

I am a great fan of the late Brian Hamilton’s work. He was a talented youngster that I only wish were still here building his fabulous figures. Since he isn’t here I have tried my best to perpetuate his name here on Ventriloquist Central.

I was fortunate to come across this wonderful three page brochure that Brian put out early in his figure building career. The figures look great and so do his prices. You can just imagine and drool over the possibilities of having purchased one of these great ventriloquist figures back then at these prices. I know I am salivating at that thought.

The Love of Bob Isaacson's Life

Bob Isaacson one of the great contributors to Ventriloquist Central just informed me that the love of his life decided to depart this world yesterday. Here is the email which he sent me.

“Sorry to report that Mary passed away last night. July 3. ….I was there with her, as were 2 of our sons. All 4 sons were with me at the hospital all Wed. night. She was the love of my life for 55 years. We were married 52 years, June 30. She was a Saint on earth, a beautiful person, loved by all her knew her. She’s now with the Lord…..thanks for your prayers Bob”

Bob, you have our deepest condolences.

Stars & Stripes Forever !! Happy 4th of July from Ventriloquist Central

With everything going on in the world (such a chaotic place) I am still pleased to say the good ol US of A is the place I want to be. Anyone I ever hear complain about the US I ask where are you from and when they tell me I ask if it was better there, why did you come to the USA. Most of the time they say because it is the land of the free.

Well brother that is it in a nutshell. FREEDOM brought to us by those great forefathers and so I like to shout from the rooftops ” HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY” ” HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA home of the FREE !!! “
