Here’s a video of a nice Ken Spencer ventriloquist figure I call “Scooter”. He has slot jaw, side to side moving eyes, his left eye winks and his eyebrows raise. All his paint is original too. He is full size standing 40″ tall and I think he has a great face.

Today for sale I am offering a wonderful Ken Spencer figure which I would never sell except because of another purchase he must go.
This Ken Spencer is a full size 40″ figure and has the following functions: Slot jaw, upper lip smile, raising eyebrows, crying effect and of course ball and socket neck for full 360 degree rotation. His head is mounted on a Foy Brown body which has the rocking clavicle so he can look towards the floor. This is a carved basswood figure.
I, for the most part, collect wood carved ventriloquist figures but when I saw this figure made by Rene Zendejas I knew I had to have him for the Ventriloquist Central Collection.
This figure has a very nice history. It was made in the 1970’s and was used by a performer at the time named S. Earl Statler, and he used this figure which he named Phillip Buster the Senator in a political routine in which this dummy was running for president. See the enclosed poster showing this.
I used to enjoy watching Bill Dana and his character Jose Jimenez. Our good buddy Bob Abdou sent us this video he did as a tribute to Bill Dana that he recently performed.
Special not here, Bob is not doing ventriloquism, he’s lip synching his dummy to the actual record. However, if you’re like me and remember this routine, Bob does a great job at re-creating it.
