Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd

Here’s a great little publicity photo I found featuring ventriloquist Edgar Bergen’s main pals, Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd.

It seems that Charlie has had enough of Mortimer and want to send him “out of this world”.

Looks like this was to promote the RKO Radio picture “All For Fun”. Here’s the backside of this photo.

If you’re like me, you love seeing the genius marketing of Edgar Bergen.

    Dan & Steve,

WOW!!!!! Thanks for sharing that great pic!! I have had several photos of charlie, used for pubicizing an upcoming, or just released movie, so can tell you that you are right, that was what the info on the back was for, but i NEVER had one with such a neat inscription on the back! The photo looks like it was probably done in Bergen’s yard, based on footage i’ve seen before, but i don’t recall ever hearing of that movie. Wonder if it still exists?? Thanks again.
