Which Is My Favorite Ventriloquist Figure

little eddie

I have been asked many times which one of my figures is my favorite and believe me that is a hard question to answer because I love them all but….if I had to say which Frank Marshall creation is my favorite I must say that the Marshall Nosey that originally was owned by Jimmy Jedry, known as Little Eddie II, is my favorite.

I give this reason for my decision and that is, after making my first trip to the Vent Haven Museum and seeing The Nosey that belonged to Terry Bennett named Red Flannels, I said someday I hope to own a Marshall as nice as that one.

I must tell you that I actually think that Little Eddie II is actually nicer than Red Flannels and that is because Eddie II has almost no dimples giving him the clean look the same as Paul Winchell’s Jerry Mahoney. Red Flannels has much deeper dimples.

Please take a look at Little Eddie II and take a look and see if you don’t agree with me.

Same here! Little Eddie II is probably, to me, the nicest looking Marshall I’ve seen in person. Great face, great everything! Close second is the real early Marshall with the red crepe hair and beanie hat.

My favorite is the smaller Roy Douglas figure build in 1946! I love the sneaky look he has.

    Hi Ventriloquist Central.

I just watched Dummy (2002) and I loved the “nameless” puppet that Al Semok built for the film so much that I wished I had one at home for artistic inspiration. I love the craftsmanship and I remember being captivated by that handsome little face it had.

The figure had such beautiful green eyes on it that I just couldn’t stop staring at it. But then, neither could I resist the temptation either of being fascinated by Joe Gandelman’s puppet, John Raven or David Strassman’s puppet Chuck.

I guess their cheeky personalities that draw me in. Is there any other Alan Semok figures that you have in your collections that you can show me?

    Your faithfully,

    Miss Rachel Fern Keegan
