Where Is Frank Marshall's "Tuffy" Ventriloquist Figure

Frank Marshall – Ventriloquist Figure Maker

When Lee Dean made his comment ” Bet You Will Never Find Tuffy” in reference to Tuesday’s blog about the Frank Marshall ventriloquist figure, Mickey (click here to see blog), I figured I had to throw it out to everyone who reads my daily blog.

As everyone in the ventriloquile world know I seek and purchase Frank Marshall figures for the Ventriloquist Central Collection and now I need everyone’s help in locating an example of Frank Marshall’s Tuffy Figure which is listed in his 1931 catalogue on page number seven. If you do not have a copy of this catalogue click here and this will take you to the catalogue for you to see.

For fun…I want to prove Lee Dean wrong so please let me know if you have this figure and would like to have him join the Ventriloquist Central Collection. Of course remember I am interested in all other Frank Marshall figures as well and also need any Marshall parts you may also have such as hands, feet, or bodies. All parts are needed.

  1. LeeDean says:

I am now of the opinion that “Tuffy” is the round eyed figure that you have, Dan, being the only one like that in the Marshall catalogue, so I’m wrong unless wrong in my opinion.

  2. LeeDean says:

I thought you have Tuffy, but catalogue says large “ears” not “eyes” so I misread it, and your Freshy does not appear to have the large ears, but does appear to have the round eyes I think, I don’t know. I think I’m probably wrong all the way around.
