The Cherchers – Ray Guyll has the saxophone

Ventriloquist figure maker Ray Guyll is a man of many talents. Most know him for his great skill at building and restoring ventriloquist figures. As you know he’s restored quite a few figures for the Ventriloquist Central Collection and I’ve always been pleased with his work. In fact, Ray’s even done restoration work for Vent Haven.

In 2006 at the Vent Haven ConVENTion, Ray introduced me to Steve, the webmaster, and Ray was instrumental in helping us come up with ideas that led up to Ventriloquist Central.

Ray’s other talent is music. He’s a very accomplished musician and teaches music. Yesterday, there was a great article about Ray and the band he was with back in the late 50’s early 60’s called the Cherchers. The picture above is Ray with that band (thanks Steve for providing the picture).

And with The Toggeries in later years, http://pnwbands.com/toggeries.html and saw on internet played some with some famous rock band can’t think of its name.

  3. LeeDean says:

I did some of that, http://www.globaldogproductions.info/m/manco.html but did not sell a single record.

  4. LeeDean says:

Unlike Bruce Channel who did for Manco Records and ended up on Lennon’s alltime favorites personal tape machine.
