Ventriloquist Figure Builder, Scott Bryte

Scott Bryte is a truly amazing ventriloquist figure builder (as you are about to find out).

Steve and I met Scott at the 2007 ConVENTion and we were both amazed at his work.

I received the following email from Keith Suranna along with some pictures of Scott’s work:

Hi Dan,

I hope all is well with you. Since you are an advocate of the work of Scott Bryte, and since I discovered his work through you and Ventriloquist Central, I’m wondering if you’d be interested in seeing, and possibly sharing with your readers, Scott’s building process.

He is currently building a figure for me, which should be completed by the first of the year. At my request, Scott has been taking photos of each stage of his building process; and I thought that you and your readers would be interested in seeing how Scott, one of the few makers of hand-carved basswood figures, works.

Personally, I am finding Scott’s process fascinating, as I have wanted a custom-made, hand-carved wooden figure since I was 15 (I’m 43 now)!

Best, Keith Suranna

As I said, Scott does amazing work. Keith has agreed to keep sending us photos of Scott’s progress. Thanks Keith for sharing with everyone.

Stay tuned for more…..
