Doc Doughtery was the first vent I ever saw as a kid. I still have the poster from school advertising his show. It was on October 18, 195?, Price – 10 cents. After school I went to my Hawaiian guitar lesson at the local hotel and he was sitting in the lounge area talking to some other guests. He noticed me staring at him as I walked by but I was totally amazed at seeing my first vent.
