I’ll always remember how nice Mr. Main was. I met him in the hall at my first conVENTion in 1988. And HE approached ME. Didn’t know me from Adam, but that was how he was i guess. & after a nice long chat, gave me his card & said “if you’re ever going to be in my area, give me a call & we’ll get together & talk shop”. Wish i’d been able to!! Nice video Dan.

  2. Bill Smith says:

Also, anytime after that, & maybe even before, that he saw me in the hall, etc, he’d acknowledge me with a smile & a hello. OBVIOUSLY a great & warm, kind man!

    Dan —
It was great seeing Coco again — but it also saddened me because we know we’ll never be able to see him manipulated the way Johnny Main, a master of hard-puppet manipulation, brought him to life.

  4. Dan:
I have a photo of Cy Leonard with Coco that was taken at Cy’s Niagara on the Lake home on one of Johnny’s many trips across the border. I will send it to you, to add to your Coco collection.

  5. Thanks Fred I appreciate that kind gesture.
