Ventriloquist Central Video Collecting Series – A Ray Guyll Ventriloquist Figure

vc-ray-guyll-figure

Everyone in the ventriloquist community knows who Ray Guyll is….today’s master figure builder. Well he of course had to start somewhere and that was back in the late 1960’s when he was influenced by Jack Coats. Ray decided to build figures and did them first out of wood but then decided to try his hand at casting and the results were truly spectacular.

This ventriloquist figure is the very first figure which Ray created using Fiberglass.

Thanks Dan for showing Ray’s first fibreglass figure with all it’s various movements. It’s amazing that Ray was able to create that figure so many years ago, when fibre glass was fairly new to the Vent figure construction. Of course Ray had already created wonderful wood figures. He is truly an amazingly talented figure maker. Not only the contruction, but the painting on the figures is superb as well. Ray has created many wonderful figures. Thanks for the viewing.
