I just can’t believe that 5 days of total ventriloquism and fun are now over. It is Sunday morning and I am now waiting for the plane to board so that I can get back to Boston and my family. It will certainly take a full day to unwind from all the festivities of the past 5 days.
It is always such a great time getting together again with old friends and of course meeting new friends. It really does seem like a family get together. Everyone just loves to see each other and you are never alone. Even if you wanted to be by yourself you can’t because someone is always there to say “Lets go to this lecture or workshop or lunch or supper.” I just love it.
This year I think was great. The theme was creativity and all the lecturers were right on the money and if you didn’t learn then you were sleeping. The shows were all fabulous and for me seeing Nina Conti was just a highlight and to be able to see Sammy King in his final performance of a 50 plus year career was simply the icing on the cake.
So to sum up I give the conVENTion a 10 out of 10 and as I said in all my reports you really need to make plans now to come to the Vent Haven ConVENTion next year.
Be sure you go back through all the blogs and make sure you’ve read, listened and watched all the updates that I did from Vent Haven.
I hope you’ve enjoyed them as much as I’ve enjoyed bringing them too you.
I also want to thank each and every one of you who came over to me and thanked me for doing what I do with this web site. It is a labor of love that I share with my Webmaster Steve Hurst and without him it would never be.
Steve, I missed having you here this year and I want everyone to know that. Hopefully we both will be in attendance next year and we will bring everyone up to speed with the goings on here at the conVENTion.
