Great ideas from a great guy. Thanks Dan for putting these tips on Ventriloquist Central.

  2. Bob Isaacson says:

Another great innovative idea from Bob Abou. Bob is always thinking ahead as to how to make puppets “act” better. And Bob is always generous with sharing his ideas. Thanks again to “Mr. Puppet “

  3. Bill Matthews says:

Excellent idea. I’m going to have to remember that if I ever get that style puppet. I would make one addition, though. Either in front or behind the hole I would drill a little larger and deeper hole so I could drop the control stick in so the head can go down as well as up, adds a little more effect and even simulates a shrug if need be.

I thought of that however with my type of show, I needed the puppet to be in it’s normal position, with a deeper hole, I would have to hold it in a certain position and not let go or the puppet would drop. the head does go up and down if you watch the video, all I do is tilt the control stick to go outside the box and the puppet can bob up and down with no worries and then it goes back to it’s normal position,

  4. Jeff says:

Im curious what the other end of the headstick looks like? what are you using to connect to the mouth?

    great video Bob.

    • bob abdou says:

that was made by Axtell when they made this puppet, I did not work on that end that was connected to the mouth, I just extended the control stick with a pvc pipe and capped it
