I tried to keep it off as long as I possibly could but my Cataract finally got the better of me and so today I am in the Mass Eye & Ear having my left eye done.
I am so happy because I will finally regain the vision I use to have. I was always far sighted and with this cataract removal I will again be far sighted.
I will have to use readers for the newspaper and computer but that will be like normal for me.
Man modern medicine is great.

I’ve gotta do that this summer, too, Dan. Friends tell me they had no idea how bad their vision was until they had the surgery and the world got brighter and sharper. Anxious to know how it goes for you. Best of luck!
Sight for sore eyes. Here is fine sample of throat whistle the way supposed to be done http://www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=28721 by Jean Margaret Henderson age 10 in 1931 British Pathe film. I don’t know if The Great Lester did this or not, using the false vocal cords–vocal folds–although he did do a boat whistle using his hands. I remember bird imitators on Ed Sullivan in 1950’s doing this with warble. The last piece done has very little warble, and she had a remarkable scale. I’m sure she could have done bird warble if she wanted to because easier to do and hard to keep it out.
Certainly building your collection of ventriloquist figures is far sighted.
