Ken Spencer Figure on the Ventriloquist Marketplace

DSCN1537[1]

Today for sale I am offering a wonderful Ken Spencer figure which I would never sell except because of another purchase he must go.

This Ken Spencer is a full size 40″ figure and has the following functions: Slot jaw, upper lip smile, raising eyebrows, crying effect and of course ball and socket neck for full 360 degree rotation. His head is mounted on a Foy Brown body which has the rocking clavicle so he can look towards the floor. This is a carved basswood figure.

The slot jaw is controlled by a wood lever and the upper lip and raising eyebrows are ring pull. All the mechanics work perfectly and even though the upper lip and eyebrows are ring pull you can work them with the slot jaw with ease. Check out the wonderful dished ears which are signature Ken Spencer.

Ken Spencer figures do not come along all that often so if you have ever wanted a great example that you can ad to your collection or use immediately in performance this figure is for you.

I think that Ken Spencer may have gotten hold of a Charlie Mack head and put dish ears on it. I have heard he mostly made hands in the Mack shop. I did a search, found, watched and rewatched your video on that pre-Charlie Charlie that Joe Lopez was so excited about. Man, what a beautiful figure it is, with the flat bridge nose, dish Mack ears. Is it possible McCarthy was named by Bergen after Charlie Mack and that he had a hand in its making as well as the bellhop figure. They have a look all their own, a certain finesse, notwithstanding so-called stock Mack figures.
