Insull Ventriloquist Figure For Sale

MVC-002S

In recent weeks I have made some huge purchases for the Ventriloquist Central Collection so it is time for another great figure to leave.

This is a very early Len Insull figure (dating from the mid 1940’s) which is in remarkable condition. He has the standard English mouth of lower and upper lip but this fellow also has weighted side to side moving eyes. His eyes are wooden and painted which is an early trait for Len Insull. They work smoothly and seem to work almost on their own.

His hair is crepe and his body is paper mache with paper mache hands. They could use some touch up paint. He stands 40″ tall and has the drop in nech so it free floats.

He is dressed as you see with a great 1940’s jacket, tie and shoes.

If you always had a desire for an Insull figure that works smooth and is about as unusual as you will find this guy is for you. I will divulge the fabulous provenance for this figure to the buyer. It was originally owned by a very famous ventriloquist.

I wonder who owned the figure. It is a good one and more valuable than the later ones with metal like eyes.
