I am pleased to offer for sale a really fine and early Chuck Jackson figure for sale. This figure is carved basswood and retains its original paint and original wig. He stands 42″ tall and because he came to me undressed I have put him in the outfit you see pictured which will come with him when sold.
He has slot jaw (with perfect pitch point), side to side self centering eyes, winkers, blinkers and raising eyebrows. The winker/blinkers were not used very much and therefore have not changed or I should say faded with time so the buyer may want to recolor them. The leather is in perfect condition.
All the functions work smoothly and were built to last many lifetimes. The head stick has darkened over the years and has a very nice patina on it. The body is Chuck’s wood bottom with cast torso and it even got his mark impressed into it. I have had other Jackson figures but this is the first time I have seen this mark.
The hands are the original hands and are dirty. They could be cleaned up a bit.
These early Chuck Jackson figures do not come up all that often and especially not as nice as this one.
He will make someone very happy.
